We are glad to be able to announce that we have received a formal admission of liability from the State Claims Agency in a medical negligence action against the Health Service Executive. This case relates to a young boy who attended Waterford Regional Hospital in 2012 and was misdiagnosed.
He now has a severe brain injury with profound cognitive and motor disability and epilepsy.
The case will now proceed as an assessment of damages, when all of his future needs, including nursing care, will be assessed.
